Dr. Kurt Petersen presented “The Impact of Entrepreneurs on Wearables and IoT”. Dr. Petersen pointed out that the explosive worldwide expansion of entrepreneurial activity is making an indelible mark on many technologies and industries, and Wearables and IoT are among those emerging industries most heavily impacted by entrepreneurs today. In addition, the current powerful support infrastructure for entrepreneurs is making it even easier to transition such R&D ideas into real products. Dr. Petersen further explained in depth how this new entrepreneurial culture is transforming the evolution of wearables and IoT.
Five pitching startups are Owlized, Ario, TLink, Synthomic and Metron Force. Founders presented their business models, product roadmaps and funding status and demoed their products. Investors asked more challenging questions during the following Q&A session. The great interaction between founders and investor opened up more opportunities for the startups.
